"Corrozian" the Invoker.
Half-spirit/half-human.
Agressive wizard-warrior, cloaked in dark nebula, with massive censer (artifact) on chain, exuding corrosive smoke and crashing enemies.
Energy: Darkness/Void.

Awesome design. I really like the second one, because of the pose. The way he holds the ball up and kind of seem to lean his head onto it, and just the pose in general. It gives of a great mood.

Yinn (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=193385), yes, I like the second pose to. Maybe I'll use it for Winner pose. Maybe 4th, but... 2nd looks mysteriously and elegant :), not so traditionally warlike.

Very nice concept. I've been trying for 3 days now to get thumbs that look that crisp. I'm still new to all this stuff.

Just curious do you use photoshop or painter?

Any pointers on how you created the black, smokey cape? It looks to me like you laid down a base tone and shape and painted in some darker regions and erased out other bits (i.e. circles here and there).

I really do love the overall "feel" of each thumb.

Thanx. ) I use photoshop for sketches in the early stages, it's more simply to find silhouette, working with plastic basic forms. No small details.
I prefer to draw traditionally - pencil on paper + eraser. And similarly I work in photoshop - in grayscale file - brush (manipulating parameters) + eraser + free transform tool.
In the final stages I'll use scanned detailed pencil drawings + photoshop.

Thanx. I asked about it in the Info thread, but didn't get any answer yet. Problem is how to register more than one 2D entry at the official entry page. I sent question to the competition moderator. Hope, he can help me.

Nice sketches so far, very dynamic. I like the 3rd one best myself, as it has a really nice flow of action. My character is using a censer as his artifact as well... oh, well, so much for original ideas. At least it's not another sword! ;) Good luck with the rest of this!
