Hello, I am trying to model the edge seams on clothing for my character, this is the part of the fabric that bends back over the top of the clothing and gets stiched to it. I thought i could do it with a plane with the shell modifier but it tends to make the edges to thick and the clothing too thin. Any help on the subject would be appreciated. Oh by the way im using 3ds max but its not really tool specific.
