View Full Version : maya 5.0 question, pls help!

Hi all maya user,

Is there has anyway that I can open my scene.mb(saved in 5.0) back to maya 4.5?

In Maya5.0 I dont know why the foot rig cant lock at the floor when I move down the pelvis(have ik), my leg setup is quite simple method(added a reverse foot joints), is anyone know Maya5 leg setup tutorial on the web? or pls help me solve this probelm.

I think that you have enabled ik/fk manipulation, toggle it from the ik handle attribute editor or in the skeleton menų.

As far as getting the file from 5.0 to 4.5, you need to save it out of 5.0 as a .ma file

Then open up the .ma file in a text editor, and change any references to 5.0 to 4.5 (in the first 10 lines or so)

Then try to open it in 4.5 and, if it doesn't work, check the script editor for error details - if it's a simple scene in 5.0, then it won't have a problem...

I fixed the porblem.

"IK handle Attributes" Stickiness change to "sticky", that's it.

Maya5.0 defualt is Stickiness "off". that's why ik cant lock at floor.

Anyway thanks for replay!!
