The images look very nice, i like the concept art :)
Only i think the smoke is making that posted image a bit fuzzy. Ofcourse that is what smoke does, but in this picture it doesn't look too good. In the movie it looks cool tho.

Funny movie too :p Is there more to it? I wanna see it :) Could be an interesting story.
I'd like to see more of that style!

Thanks for the kind words.
The smoke your referring to was actually lightfog(small difference, i know) being showed by the spotlight aimed at Le Baron's desk.
Maybe we should have posted another pic because as you say, in the movie it looks better :)

At the moment there isn't more footage available, but there are so many models in his room that we coulnd't show good enough or even show at all because of our rendering deadline.

We have a storyboard ready for another short where we could show the rest of his room, but there are no plans for production at this stage.
Also maybe want to try to make an episode of 1 of the killings.

Hey guys, Good job overall, especially considering the tight deadline..I do agree that the volumetric light washes the scene with the baron out a bit, also in the animation.

Good to see you wrapped up an entire project like this and can't wait to see any further sequels.

hey guys,
cool to see you finally finished it!
It looks great, tho I agree with the other people that the volumetric light could be executed a bit better. But overal, cool animation and funny movie.
I hope you can show the whole scene in detail in a sequel/prequel or something, because it looks like there is soo much in there that I must have missed.(only saw the dude in the cage when he's talking about his home made war machinery after seeing the movie 4 times)
keep it up!

there is indeed a lot of small details that a lot of people don't see in their first time viewing the clip. especially in this small format, the original format is 1280*720 so then you see more. But this was too much to stream.
we will post some more concept art soon.

For the people who saw some 2D images in a split second in the animation, Yes it was worth the effort to make those 2D images :)!! You can view the 2D conceptual art of "Le Baron" in the 2D Gallery:

and/or my CG portfolio:

Feedback always welcome! :)

A bit of a standard photoshop glow around the baron on the title picture, but otherwise its cool.

The concept is nice in that it has all these advanced photoshop colouring in it but you can still see the drawn lines in it, makes it feel real and fake.

Also in the 3d stuff its nice you can see the intention of the pencil lines in the 3d model, nicely done.

Nice stuff :).
