Im making a slideshow and I spent hours arranging my images in the right order but when I import the folder into after effects it rearranges the images out of order, it rearranges them like 1,10,100, 2,20,200 not like 1,2,3,4,5,6.... and so on, how do I fix this without importing these pictures one at a time

After effects imports frames alphabetically, so you'll need leading zeroes on all your images. So if you had frames 1 - 100 you would need to list them as 001-100.

Like Erilatz says, you need leading zeros. There are many batch renaming programs that will allow you to easily change the names en masse, but not having any leading zeros may confuse even these applications. You may need to manually add the zeros...

Although I believe Mac OS orders files according to file name length as well when encountering sequences - end result being it orders numbered files without leading zeroes correctly. So if you have access to a Mac with Photoshop (or anything else that can batch rename), get it to batch it all to have leading zeroes, bring it back over to your PC, and voila.

XP does the same, so as long as the file batcher also follows suit it could be done in either OS.

XnView (http://www.xnview.com/) is good for batch renaming (and it's free) - you can order the files as you want and it will respect that order when you rename them with the leading zeroes.

e.g. View / Sort By / Name (numeric) then select all, right-click, batch rename.
