I really like the idea you have going on here the swords actually being a part of the character other than seperate from it is a great idea.

Background of the character:
Invoker, ice power. He gained this power because he defeated the dragon of ice.
The armour he wears is made with the bones of the dragon. It has magic properties and those blades on the sides of the arms are an extension of that armour.
His name comes from the region where he defeated the beast.

little sketch in ZBrush... I was doing a skinny guy, but I tried to rise up the muscular tone and I liked it more :) ...so, big tough guy, after all he is a warrior and he defeated the ice dragon
the brute face worked aswell :)
I'm happy with this first pass

I reckon this direction is going real well for you... there is a lot of design potential with this one because you have laid out a good foundation.

Looking good so far. I'd like to see some more designs of the blades though. They look a bit drab right now...doesn't inspire trouser-wetting fear in me. ;)
