Ritgar Lionhelm is a champion of the lionguard legion on his home world Albus prime. He is a hardened veteran of countless battles, and his name is feared by the neighboring rival planets which continuously seek to take control of Albus prime. For Albus is a rich world; it is one of the few planets throughout the galaxy that has vast deposits of natural minerals which are in great demand by all. But one of the most notably resources to found on Albus, are the mystical crystals that grow in immense underground caverns running through the planets crust.
These crystals are seen by the people as their gods divine blessings bestowed unto them and thus they do not squander the resource and use it only when necessary. The crystals which are a bluish –white colour posses immense amounts of magical energies, which the people of Albus use to fuel their planet.
Since the crystals are seen as a holy blessing from the gods, the people of Albus decided that they needed a holy elite guard to protect the resource from the threat of greedy rival worlds. The deposits are so vast that an entire race was recruited for the task. The more primitive peoples of the southern lands were asked to fulfill the ‘calling of the gods.’ They saw this as an honor given to them by the creator and thus it came to be that an entire nation was bred for the sole purpose of war.
The southerns deity is seen as a lion god, and their whole civilization is based on this; the lionguard are the elite of the southerns, there armor is adorned with lion designs and the most notable aspect of the lionguard is the huge mane running down their backs. It is a terrifying and awesome sight to behold a legion of blazing white ‘lions’ descending upon its ‘prey.’
Ritgar is the ultimate champion of the lionguard. The immense power of crystals gives him super human strength and immortal life. Ritgar is over 700 years old and has been at the front of the lionguard since the founding of the legion. He is unmatched by all his comrades in battle and thus it is Ritgar who will be chosen to crush the machines and any rivals who get in his way.
Ritgars armour is centuries old and was created by the powerful invokers of Albus prime, it harnesses the power of the holy crystals. Ritgar can channel the power into points of the armour when needed, either making it invulnerable to damage, or using it as a mighty weapon through his holy lion paw gauntlet.
Ritgar also has a mighty sword given to him, after he held off an entire legion for 3 days by himself after his comrades had fallen, by the emperor of the southern people himself. It is called Leonumatorus after their god of war, and is said to embodied some of the gods own power.
Name: Ritgar Lionhelm

I'm loving that sword! Keep it up! Carful you don't put too many lion heads in the armour design. It can get overwhelming.

I like the whole lion chest plate, but the lack of it protecting his upper/clavical area makes me nervous. Why not make the lions mane extend up around his neck at that point for more protection?
But then again, he is immortal so I guess it doesn't matter. x.x
