This is my first domiance war guys. I'm reserving my slot. It says on the main page that you have to use your team's colors and logo. Does that mean it has to include red, black, and white and/or the cgtalk logo? Just a little curious since I haven't seen anything about that on here.

This is what I have for a concept so far. It will be Clericon class, specializing in healing other characters in the war. I imagine that he comes from a planet where the boundry between land and sea are blured. His species, that I have not named yet is tribal, and knows nothing of technology. The species itself is some what reptilian/crustation. As a healer, this shamanistic creature uses the nature and magical gems, as a power construct to repair damaged tissue. To the creature, this process is painful. Sores and wounds appear on the healer after he has used this power, thus giving making a painful and deadly limit to this magic.

In the next few days I'll be exploring more variations with this, as well as being a digital painting phase, for texture study. The staff is by no means a final draft.

Nice and nasty, that's the Dennis I know right there! I imagine his texture to be really scaly or really slimy. Sweet start though man. He reminds me of a triceratops from the head shape.

The staff seems like a pretty good fit as is. Maybe you can explore something more sea based instead of the feathers though?

Dennis!!! Whatís up man great to have ya on board this crazy roller coaster. Man I love this character its so your style. I agree with brit on the staff maybe something to do with the sea instead of feathers. But I also see smoke black smoke from this character I donít know why but I do.

Keep it up its sexy :D

Also dennis to answer your first question I believe you have to ether have the colors on your character (red and black) to represent cgsociety or have the cgsociety logo. I believe you have to chose one of them.

I kind of figured it would be something like that. I was considering giving him like a red and black tattoo of the CG logo. I'll make that decision tomorrow.

I have not posted in a while, but I have been very busy working on the model. This is Ortora. Below you will see a quick zbrush sculpt that I completed to get a better sense of proportion and how the head will connect with the rest of the body. There is another concept picture, this time showing the side view of the creature. This helped be to get an idea of the anatomy, and where certain muscle groups will be. Below these pictures is the inital 3D mesh of the creature. I'm taking special care of the forms and volumes of him. The arms are not yet connected to the main body, but I'll attach them once I do two more levels of subdividing.

More levels of subdivision. I'm about ready to add the arms after I cut a few more segments in the face. I'm at about 2,800 tris right now.

nice work so far man. he looks kinda sleek to me. slippery. I would really like to see a little more evil and power in his form. If you raised a vilosa raptor on steroids then gave him a ton of cocain and speed. that sort of rage and power. the rage of a zombie. the power for a crackhead bodybuilder :p
