Very nice. Not quite sure about the shadows on the front of the machine, but nice. Looks to be well intigrated into the scene.

The dirt needs some help. And the dust sorta just apears.
i think its looking pretty sweet, the lighting looks really good! the model itself is looking good as well!

i think the model is really fine with all those hydraulic cylinders.. maybe you have to work on dust a bit.

I really like it !
But there's something strange : The wind seems to affect the two trees in the background only. Maybe the dust caused by the spider should blow away too.....

the model looks really cool and the animation of these six legged spider is cool. Oh please help me? Why does spider have only six legs legs where you come from? Maybe change your thread title?
For the composition: Maybe the dust needs to be blown away in the direction the wind goes in your life shot. I'm not quite shure if it would make such dust at all when moving. For the part of the movement when a leg hits the ground: The leg goes into the ground is good, but some moving should happen to the sand around that place? Understood? My english needs to be rendered with some new settings!:)
I would like to say 90% done. Only finetuning.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Good stuff! I'd like to getting looking as believable as possible.
Sounds like dust is the sore thumb...
I agree with the dust kick-up. It was done in 2d compositing, and I think it will be well worth the effort to use a 3D particle system that has some wind drift to it.
Yes, spiders have four legs, very true. Perhaps Quarry Bug?
