Hello!

I finally decided to create my own sketchbook. For now, I'll do some 2D sketches and later on I'll post some 3D work.

My English grammar is bad

Some 1 min croquis:

When I'm bored on lectures I do some sketches...

shapemaster: Yes, the last three were drawn using reference. Other sketches were more or less result of my dullness :hmm: .

BapKe: I would like to see more of those too! So i'll make them more! :bounce:

Thanks guys!
For now, I will keep practicing anatomy, and draw more croquis.

Cheers!

I like the gestures, it would be nice if you draw them once in a while along with some proportionate ones. :D

vulf
02-18-2008, 02:08 PM
Randize, thanks on comment!
it would be nice if you draw them once in a while along with some proportionate ones.

Can you, please, explain the last part of the sentence. I don't know if I understand right. You meant to draw characters more proportionaly?

Cheers!

I understand doing gestures loosy and freely is important just like how you are doing now, it's fast but if you were to do proportionate ones, you had to spend more time on figuring the anatomy and other aspects.

So what I'm suggesting is, continue to draw it fluidly, keep them vague as how you are doing it now, then study gesture with correct anatomy along the way. So the next time you draw these quick gestures, you could apply what you've learn while keeping your fluidity.

I understand now and I agree with you!
I'll study anatomy more and then I'll post some more sketches.
Thank you for your explanation!

Hi ...Alen ..:)

REALLY ENJOYING YOUR THREAD SO FAR...NICE IMAGINATION THERE.:)
TONS OF ENERGY IN THOSE SMALL FIGURES.. You might take a look at the works of SALVADOR DALI...and the way he used those small gestural figures in his paintings and drawings...will give you an idea of just how powerful, even though very small, ..they can be in a composition...:)
Really looking forward to seeing more of your work, and progress... :)

Yesterday I did some studies of the human head (B1 format). Need some tweaking around chin and mouth to fix perspective. When I come back home I'll do that :wip:

Good charater studies (line and colour images)
The Fireman stripper image is funny - it shows a real knack for composition - I like the funny details (in the faces etc.
