Hi guys :) Been a lurker for some time here, and now I need some help.

I have two different wheels. The first one is mapped and textured. Now I want to map the second file in the same positions, so that I can use the same texture for the tire, and brake and so on.
The spokes and color on the second rim is different, that's why i need to do a new texture.

Is there a quick way to align the second file's UV with the first one?
I use 3D max.

Thanks in advance.

I think I found a solution. :)
In the top bar in the Edit UVW menu, there is a box, and next to that one is a menu. Clicking the arrow lets me use a custom map for background. So I just load the rendered UVW template from the old file.
It is a bit painstaking aligning all the spokes to the old file. And I'm sure it's not very accurate. So anyone that might have a different (and quicker) solution is more than welcome.

Can it really be true that no one ever had to align different UV's?? I find it hard to belive.
