View Full Version : backflip
new2LW 02-16-2008, 07:18 AM This is my first animation post, first pass at a backflip. I just read in another post that a lot of beginners bite off more than they can chew, and should start out with a bouncing ball. Got me second guessing myself. But I'll post what i have anyway. Comments/critiques welcome. Thanks
Update, backflip02.

Good start, but reference is key.
There's obviously many ways to do a backflip in many different situations.
In you situation I would refer to this video to help sell your actual flip.

You may want to want to watch the whole thing as he explains how to do a flip, but at the end you can see how a backflip is done.

Thanks for the reference. This will help a lot.

Thanks for looking. Comments/Critiques?
-edit- just noticed, I think I messed up his footing right before his jump. It twitches in this version. He's suppsed to pick his right foot up and bring it back a little bit. Think you can see him bring his foot back in my first pass. I'll have to fix that.
