the messy make-up is an idea of a friend of mine .... to seem like the joker in the movie The Dark Knight! .... i liked it and decided to try!
thanks for that Bruno! =) .... what do you think!??

Vedic-kings - thanks for your kindness. I'm doing the lighting based on the painting of Alex Ross. I want to do like that as a homage to him. But it's always good to see differents technics and concepts of a same thing. If you want to show what do you have in mind i'll be very happy!
Bruno - i didn't finish yet =) .... there are a lot of things to do .... teeth, ears, clothes, hair, details, colors correction, etc ...... but i'll be there ..... thanks for the comment =)

Here you go laurentino:) Now you can see what I mean about the lighting.
I will have to look up Alex Ross's joker you are painting, so I can get a better idea of what you are doing.

Vedic-kings - i see. ..... but i think this version is not too dark. the light seem to be in front of him! ..... the reference i'm using the lighing is above him.... and this make the scene darker! I like the way his eyes seem to be hidden in the shadows!
but thanks a lot for take your time and show your version =) ... i really appreciate when people wants to help .... there's no better way to grow by sharing knowledge =)

Yeah, I think the original lighting gives him a more sinister, evil look, awesome painting!

That's really coming along great!
The area up around the nose and eyes are the best looking so far, I think it's the cleaner look, compared to the chin and jacket, I think if you smudged it up a bit in those areas it would give it a smoother look, the teeth look great, I'm always a fan of harsh light, so I think adding some white highlights would make it pop, same with the skin, right where the light hits make it pure or almost pure white! The perspective looks good, it looks like the poster from the new movie, where Heath Ledger is on the cover, the face looks crisp and his jacket looks blurry, that makes for a pretty cool effect.
Good job dude!

you're doing great Pal! the nasty smudged smile is a great touch, the work in that area is going just nice!
Now I think he looks a little cross-eyed, that's not really that bad since it makes him look a bit like jack nicholson, :D but the point is the white area of the inner corner of his eyes is almost lost in the dark, that also causes his pupils to look too big, if you fix that it will recover the cool looks of the first skech, which I think looks great.
Aside of that, I will just recomend you to be careful once you do the detail on the nose, it's a tricky lighting and angle, and the alex ross one doesn't help much there since you see nothing but withe there, your lighting is not so heavy so it will need more detail.
keep the good stuff comming:thumbsup:

exStatic1 - thanks man. your words give me a lot of motivation. =)
I'm glad you remembered the new movie seeing this drawing ... i think the Joker has the best look ever in this movie =)
Gabriel - you always have good tips for me. =)
I'll do something about the eyes, but i like the idea of make them hidden on the shadows. And i will work the details on the nose. I still have a lot of details to do. :D
But now i'll use my free time to the contest. I will back on this drawing when i finish the contest ^^

hi everyone.
i've been too busy trying to graduate and i forgot everything else i was working on (i mean personal work)
but..... yesterday i watched Batman The Dark Knight .... and the movie is simply amazing!
EVERYTHING on the movie is stunning!!!
Heath Ledger is the best actor on the movie ..... and Joker is the best villan ever!
and i felt inspired to back to this painting!
i just changed the look of the character ... to have that scary crazy look from the movie.
i'll finish it just when i finish my graduation! ... i still have 3 months until then!
