Hi,
I wonder what you guys use to rig a character, do you prefer XSI's regular bones (where the end effector is parented to the root effector) ? Or do you prefer a la softimage 3D bones (where the end effector is parented to the last bone) ? Or do you use both in the same rig ?

I ask this because I come from Maya and Max, and I don't find XSI's bones very easy for rigging legs because even if you put a key on the end effector it won't stick at the ground when moving the root.

It doesn't really matter which kind of bones you use. I personally likes the SI|3D bones better, never really understood the point of having the effector parented to the root.
