Just wondered if anyone can recommended a more active combustion forum outside Cgtalk?

I'm a new user from an After Effects background, so far I've found it (Combustion) fairly easy to pickup especially using schematic views...

Looking for further / indepth material to wade through while I learn really..

:)

You could try Creative Cow (http://forums.creativecow.net/viewforum/14) or FXGuide (http://www.fxguide.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36). I do what I can to check each of them as much as possible. Combustion is my compositor of choice so I try to gain and share as much as I can about it.

Thanks Eric, I guess I'll post any specific querys here to begin with.

It's a good app I agree, finding it fairly intuative actually, do you have any further links to advanced tips or techniques that you've found handy??

Cheers!

FXGuide has a whole combustion tutorial section, same with Creative Cow. Most of the stuff I have learned was more trial by fire. Luckily I have survived each trial with only some multi-degree burns. :P

Creative cow probably has the most amount of traffic. The only trouble is the people who one the page don't like references or links to posts or solutions on other forums and will delete your post if you do so. Other then the "we're the only ones that exist in this world" attitude, it is a really good site

Hi all! Thanks for real links :) I also now learn Combustion as addition to 3ds max and my journey to 3D animations and found it potential and fitting my needs.
Very good forum on combustion would be very nice thing. Maybe it's not so popular and oftenly used in high level VFX industries as Nuke, Shake and other monsters but it still is nice software.
By the way, does anyone know any info of any movie's postproduction done in Combustion. It's just a curiosity
