View Full Version : Maxscript: Picking the biped root in cs4.1
erilaz 05-01-2003, 06:03 AM Hi ho,
I've been scouring the maxscript reference trying to nut out how to automatically pick the root of a biped when you click on any part of it. I don't want to assume the biped root is named the same as the rest of the biped (ie. Bip01 L Hand = Bip01).
Can anyone give me a push in the right direction?:D

This probably doesn't help you, but you can take a couple of scripts for selecting the biped COM. One from Saku Partamies called Biped Selector and another from Blur, Biped Worker which I think is fairly new.

Yeah, I've had a quick look through Blur's one. It's pretty intense. They've got some clever cookies over in their beta department.
I'll check out biped selector. I can't remember that one. Blur also has an old script called pickBipedRoot, but it's hard to pick through too, as it accesses the BSlib. I'm no maxscript guru by a long shot, so I'm pulling at straws.:wip:
Thanks Mahlon.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
