Sup, I think I'm pretty much done with the model, and since I can't rig or texture worth a *weee* then this is basically all I can do, unless you guys give me some proper critque, wireframes and other stuff available.

If you can point me to any useful links, please do so.

sword I think needs a bit more work, and as far as texturing... atleast some procedural stuff, i mean, just bland grey is weak; you could atleast do some colored defaults if not procederal stuff...

I think that your character looks pretty cool.

I agree with Gremlin on what he has to say. Your sword does need some work. And color would add a lot.

The main thing that sticks out to me is the hands and feet. Compared to the bulk of the character, your hads are way to small. He wouldn't even be able to get his hand around the sword.

I'm not sure about the boots. They don't look too small, but the don't look right for some reason.

I think with your character it's a little tricky. I'm not sure if you're trying exaggerate this character at all. Parts of him look proportioned and accurate (head and body), but then you got the pants and cuffs and the SWORD that seem a lot bigger.

If you're going for the exaggerated look, then I picture pretty big, cool look boots with thick tread.

I think you just need to decide what you're going for.

Your helmets pretty wicked :buttrock:

Good luck

Yeah I'm going to make him more of a fantasy character with goofy looking proportions, I don't want to exaggerate it too much though, that would screw it all up.

Still don't know of any good rigging tutorials though, which kinda leaves me in the dark on that subject.. But someone directed me to Leigh's site which has some great texturing tutorials and tips, so I'm gonna try to work with that.

Thanks for the replies.

Hey wave, good stuff. Been watching this one at DR... I like how you have the veins popping out of his arms. Although I still think he looks short, maybe if you stretched out his upper torso a bit... it looks small in comparison to his legs.

Anyway, if you need help rigging him, why not ask Kenny? I'm sure he'll be glad to help you out. Catch you later.
