Hi sivan, welcome. :)
I'd suggest working against a midtone (middle gray) background, not white. This will make adjusting your values up and down the scale from white to black a lot easier.
Keep going.

I thinf the shadows on his robes are pretty nice, and i'm eager to see what comes next...
the only problem is his right hand though I guess you'll probably correct that later.

Hi all,
A little update on my master study, I have lost the interset on this one. So thought of giving a break to this series and to start on with some antomy study for a while. So for now here is my update. Will be back soon with more new sketchs...

... I have lost the interest on this one. ...
I often feel the same too. So, I work faster.
I don't know if this is the right way or not but this is how I study.
First, I draw the gesture, just rough lines with big brush.
Then, I add values and colours, still in big brush.
Finally, I work on details with smaller brush but only on some part of my painting, e.g. the face, hands or whatever as the focus of my painting.
This way, I can finish the painting before I lose interest on it.
Cheers :)

Hi there,
Love the progress on your Master Copy. And definately like the 15 minute drawings, the apples look great.
