Hi, i'm still learning blender but I have a very hard time building nice subsurfed/smoothed complex objects like this one: http://e2-productions.com/repository/modules/PDdownloads/visit.php?cid=25&lid=66
I would so much like a video-tut of how is this or more complicated ones (there is an octopus susurf tut but int's too simple...I know, it's the same here but I need to see)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

check out the tutorials @ http://www.montagestudio.org/

also if youve got the money, the DVD's are well worth a check and consideration! ;)

do note that its about orcanic modeling though. :)

I've checked the site, very nice...but. There's a but. I'm actually on a budget and if there's nothing for blender subsurf as a video tut that's it. I have to learn it myself, perhaps record one modelling session of something more complex when time comes. Until then...I'll be looking for free stuff from people that took free give back free;).

Thanks anyway.

Montage Studio has free tutorials: http://www.montagestudio.org/tut/

Here are some more:
http://www.gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html
http://blenderartists.org/cms/content/view/17/53/
http://www.blendercourse.com/English.aspx
http://www.geneome.net/index.php/blender-tutorials/
http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.asp (not blender but still good)
http://www.blenderart.org/
and of course
http://www.blender.org/education-help/tutorials/

These links are not just subsurf modeling but it will be in there with the others. Also these are all in English but if you look you will find more out there in other languages as well as more in English. These are just a few I have booked marked. Also, you don't have to look just for Blender tutorials. Most, if not all, 3D modeling concepts will work in other applications. I hope this helps in some way.
