Title: The temple, revisited
Name: Luis Alberto Cayo
Country: USA
Software: Maya, Photoshop

I posted this image before but I received critics advising me to lighten it up. I didn't change the light setup because I like it but increased the contrast in photoshop so it reads better. Hope you like it.

I have to agree with the critics, the over-all composition is extremely dark! You need to go back and either crop the image or lighten up some of the darkness. Even if that's how it would look in reality, digital art walks a thin-line between art and reality, even if you think it's the way it should look that doesn't mean a fill light would hurt. I would severely suggest a fill light to remove some of the darkness or atleast center (i.e. crop) the compostion around the lit areas. I will say it is a rather nice piece aside from the lighting issues.
