Ok,more practice and I came along to this problem.
Lets say I wish to make a patch extend itself along a curve...this is not possible is it?
In the picture I have two objects and I wish,as in poly modeling to extrude a patch along a curve but the only thing I could come up with is to duplicate the patch and draw a curve and extrude that duplicate patch back towards the patch that I origianlly want to extrude from.
That would work but when I move the duplicated patch I cannot get it lined up properly.
Is there a more simple way of doing this?
I was going to try to make two duplicates and leave one where I wish it to connect to the big tube thing in the picture and move the other one out where I wish the extrusion to wind up but I want it to be presise coming fom the main tube to the extruded tube.....
In actuality I want it to "extrude " from that patch on the main tube but I dont think this is possible is it?
Thanks for any help.
