hi...
this is a personal work that i started about a month ago...
this is a harley 1937 with a Knucklehead engine...
cause the age of this bike, the hardest work in this case was find references about it... i friend of mine has a Flathead 1947 and it was very helpfull as a reference...
The model was created in Maya, rendered in Mentalray, and all the textures are handpainted in Corel Painter... the final composition was made in Photoshop.

Beautiful work. Great details. I would love to see this in some other lighting scenarios and environment. Not a crit, the lighting is very nice - just would like to see more renders of your model.

Great details and i love it. Maybe it's not ultra realistic render, but very good.

luzak1, i agree with you cause this work was my first study of a realistic render, and i have a lot to learn about that...
this is an image of the knucklehead engine, just to show it in other angle....

Good modeling job! The engine and the front fork are the parts that really stand out to me. The engine cover is a bit too dirty, compared to all the rest of the bike which is too clean, and I think the paint is a bit too reflective. But it really is a lovely bike!
Here's my own baby, not a Harley but a Victory (some will say that's even better) :)
