Hi,

I decided to build a character...this is something I haven't done for quiet some time, I'm more the solid modeler.
Anyway this model started as a EP I inspired monster but just copying a design was boring and so I turned him into some kind of friendlylittlestupidlazyguy...because everybody makes mean monsters ;-)

Modeled in Maya 4.5
Time about a day

Seeing again i noticed that the ear looks like a mammal (doggy)
but the whole thing looks like a dino...

maybe cut the ear off and work more on the eyes...

pose him with the mouth open, show some teeth and tongue..

the leg looks like long cloth folded... dunno... do some double
check in that area.. compare to other references...

;) Whats the story about this one ?

:wip:

he's kind of nice young strange animal the ears are there to give him some cute look

no need to pose him in this stage, when the model is final and rigged I can pose him

the legs are to short for the skin. like young dogs they have to grow in their skin...

I'm not sure about the overall size, although he's young he is about human high

I'm also not sure about the look skin or fur...fur would be the normal way, but the whole thing is kind of alien so maybe lizard skin ;-) he has such a turtle head

Coooooooooooollll!!!

I like this friendly monster A LOT!

Very nice.
Mabe you should consider on mahing the tail a little thicker to balance the body. This way looks like he is going to fall on his head because the front looks like it is much heavier than the rear.
Dunno. Just a thought.

Godd work. :D

Best regards.
