OK, so as I'm sure at least a few of you know a gothic arch - the arch part - is supposed to be as high as the arch is wide. Also, from the last flat, horizontal edge of the arch portion to 4/5 the distance to the other side is the line you are supposed to use to "draw out" the arch portion.
My question is fairly simple... How would I take saw a line and rotate it around to create a curve in Photoshop, or better yet how would I draw a perfectly smooth line following a 4/5 rule - some sort of guide and all I have to do is paint the curve in? Would Painter be better for this, and how would I do it in there?
Basically I just want to draw some arches - perhaps make some textures I could then use in Max for creating a model and ultimately from there into UT 2004. Any arch drawing tuts would of course be appreciated -
