ah! When I was nearly finished with this piece I reduced the size and saved a WIP, and than continued to work on it without undoing the resize. So I completed it at a very small resolution than what I originally had desired too.
There isn't much of a story behind this. I just knew I wanted a mute water scene with a vivid red. My main focus was trying to make a good composition.
