Hi Guys!

This Bot was modelled and rendered in MaxR3.1
Polycount: about 750K
Rendertime on my old 1 Ghz / 256 MB P3 : 30 min.
Please let me know what you think :)

Hey , Nice work you got there!

In my opinion the only thing thats not just right is the texture of the bot's "armor" it looks like a shiny plastic rather than metal. I'm not quite sure how can you make it more "metalish" as I'm not a texture artist my self, but try to add some ... irregularities of some sort, don't know.


Either way, its a great work.

@ zmei: Thanks for your comment! When I read your real name, I first thought that Luis Royo had just commented on my pic ;)

The material is a self made shader which I actually used as a car shader before, I just modified it slightly so that the metal flakes are not visible from this distance.

But I will think about what you said... hmmm.

very nice :D
the only things i would complain about is the head of the bot ..
and maybe the colors... to me, the armor and the environment look a bit to similiar...

but great job! :thumbsup:

OK, I see...
IŽll keep working on the scene, materials and lighting.
Although I like the head as it is now... Well, maybe IŽll even change it as well.

I just needed a few days off to relax and get my head clear again. :D
