View Full Version : nCloth vs. classic cloth workflows
MrWeeeee 02-08-2008, 06:41 PM Hey guys and gals, I'm starting a project involving cloth and I wanted to get opinions on workflow. I had purchased the Art of Rigging Vol. 3 and it is great. But now I am wondering which workflow would be optimal ... classic cloth to simulate and wrap deform the high-res modeled cloth OR straight up model the detailed high-res and make that nCloth. In a past project I had gone the classic cloth route and just wrap deformed but I hear that the later approach is better with the new solver. Any opinions?

I have not used Maya's old cloth but i would say. Don't rely on nCloth changing that workflow unless you have tested the time it takes to simulate the high res cloth. I find that nCloth is a really good cloth simulation. That doesn't nececarily mean it's faster.
