View Full Version : Animating high poly characters w/ low poly ones

HI!

Does any body out there knows how to animate a high poly character with a low poly version of it? I´ve been looking now for a while how to do this but I can´t find the answer anywhere!
Specifically, I will be using probably a detailed character from z brush to maya.

I would think that you would need to bind both the hires and lores character to the same rig. Simply place the hires in its own layer and hide it while animating on the lores.
