View Full Version : Texturing nCloth
myceliom 02-07-2008, 11:56 PM Hey guys,
I'm sure there is a simple solution for this but I cant find it anywhere - I've made a chequered flag for a formula one piece.
I've applied the tetxure to an nCloth square, but the texure distorts as the flag is fluttering -whats the method for locking the texture to the cloth so it doesnt distort?
Cheers!

did you lay UV's and texture after the simulation was completed? I wonder if thats happening because your UV history is upstream the animation. Is the animation cached? If so, try deleting history on hte cloth object and reapply the cache.

From what I have found that work is to texture the polygon object before turning it to ncloth. But if it is already nCloth I think all you have to do is go into the hypergraph and open up all the connections and find the original mesh thats not connected to the ncloth mesh and texture that.

Awesome - deleted the history, reapplied the Nucleus - reapplied and now it works fine. Guess it was the order.
Thanks :)

to see original mesh for editing you need go to Ncloth>>Display Input Mesh
and to see Ncloth object again Ncloth>>Display Current Mesh
