noob question here, but can anyone tell me what the 'R' signifies in 3ds max
R (4,5,6...etc)? I'm working on Max 9 but have noticed some screen caps of a really sleek black interface that some people have in their R versions which are different from mine.

I've tried to google '3ds max r5', or something like that but haven't been able to figure it out.

How is this Character Rigging related?
