georgedrakakis 02-07-2008, 11:00 AM hi,
why can't i save my render settings as presets?
is it just me?
i used to do it with r.9.6, but not with r.10.5.
i can't remember the path for the saved presets folder, to check if it really excists (due to a faulty installation).
i am on r.10.5 Engineering Bundle.
thanks in advance,
george

The presets will be stored in the user library in the library\browser folder.
Open the content manager to see and manage them.

tnx Srek.
it seems that some how the user.lib was missing from my library folder
It should be created automaticaly the moment you create presets for something inside of CINEMA 4D, be it objects or rendersettings.

i have always wanted to save a render setting as a preset.
i like to have a project wth hi rez and low rez render settings and so have to re-create these two settings EVERY time I start a new scene ( from the render menu )
i have followed this thread but cant see how i save A RENDER SETTING as a preset.
please help oh wise ones.
Customize your setting in the render setting window, give it a name in the general section tab, and file>save render preset. To load it file>load render preset

by the way if you are using those two render settings every single time, you canm ake then in an empty file, then save the file as new.c4d uin the cinema's root filder, now anytime you make a new file it will have those settings automatically.

i swear i tried this but on earlier versions. i just tried it again and it does work - either i saved it in the wrong place when i tried it or its a 10.5 improvment. eitherway that is a very good tip kai.
