Hi Guys,

Got a bit of a issue. At the moment I am putting together a large amount of architectural montages from surveyed points. I have many camera's, background photo's and actual null points (surveyed). Basically I have a camera called VP1 Cam, a background called VP1 background and points called VP1, VP 1.1 etc. This is the same for camera 2,3,4 etc. Each set is grouped Camera's, Backgrounds, Points. Is it possible when I select my VP1 Cam to only show objects called VP1... and hide everything else, so the camera determines what objects are shown or hidden and obviously the same for the other camera's.

Many thanks in advance.

use layers.

This seems to work alright using the layer system, the only thing being is that you have to unfold the whole stack everytime so as to see your objects after you have solo'd them out in the layers manager, otherwise you cannot pick individual objects to manipulate. Is this correct or is it just a bug?

You could also make use of the search bar to do this (which will filter out by name). I can't recreate any problem with hierarchy/folding here and soloing layers.

If you really wanted to use a script attached to a camera it's easy enough to do, I would suggest you look at making your own script, check the script examples shown here, there are bits of code in there to traverse the whole scene and other bits that show the setting of an objects flags.
