Hello, I was wondering how I could go about making white caps in a water scene I have. Im using Vray and I could have sworn there was a certain material that would change colors depending on height parameters but I cant remember. Heres an image of the scene

Asuming you used some procedural map and displacement to create the surface of the water you have height map right there, just use it in your diffuse map.

You could also set up a gradient (world z axis) incase you don't have access to the height map.

Bercon could you be a little more specific please Im kinda ignorant to the material editor and the available maps. I have a noise map in the displacement slot and a falloff map in the reflections slot.........But I dunno why =(
