Great looking, is it for Hidden and Dangerous 2 or something like that? Really nice work.

very cool work. I like the volumetric feeling, but if you want a bit of ciriticism, I can only say that the shoulder to arm-pit area is a bit too narrow if you compare to his large trunk. It could also be that the fold right there is not quite convincing of the muscular structure underneath.
other than that, great detail, love the folds on the collar, and really, woderful expression!

Sorry, I'm not good at modelling yet, so I'm wondering, is that mesh a high poly count or a low one? The model looks top notch like a high poly count, but is it? Or is the mesh purposely low poly, but really the rendered model is high? Sorry if this makes no sense ;) Thanks!
Hmm... The next mohaa game?

I was thinking MOHAA as well....looks awesome!
damn wish i had $$$ to go to E3... it looks as if the wireframe is the un-NURB'd version

It`s not a FPS. But you might hear of it, it`s Panzers (www.panzers.com), developed by a very talented Hungarian team (www.stormregion.com), and published by CDV (www.cdv.com)
See details on E3, i think there will be demo as well (not sure about it)

Well, the model looks good!
Why do he wear two cross, has he no gun? The hat looks a litle bit colorless!?
As I read "german officer" I thought U show us a police man or a army man from the bundeswehr.
But NO, another WW2 game :hmm:
I've never played any War Game since C&C3...So I don't realy know if the new games tell the player "WAR isn't fun" ? Do they tell the player the right history? Or just Crash, Kill and Destroy?
That kind of games are just rip-off's, aren't they?
I'm sure that I'm not allone with my opinion!
Ah and sorry about writing my opinion.
okay enough...back to work.

First:
I think there is no war is fun. War games doesn`t spread the idea that war is fun. They give you an environment for playing strategy games. I think this game is rather exclusive, because it has a strong storyline. It`s just an environment for playing.
So thinking as you, fighting games are terrible, because we hit our opponent even to unconciousness (sorry if I mistyped, but I`m not English), and FPS are bad also, because we shot each other.
Sometimes it is necessary to play wargames (I like tactical shooters, for example, Rainbow Six series, Battlefield 1942). The problem is when you are focusing on mindless destruction even in game. I hate to see mindless killing, destruction, etc. But I like tactical shooters.
I had studied a lot german officers uniform. It`s good, if you do the same, before post. There`ll be answer for all your questions. And since it is a "photograph" of the officer it was not necessary to wear his armament, only his medals. He`s not a mindless killer.
 to peace. But we like to play game, I liked to play AD&D, and I killed a lot in AD&D. But I don`t think, that I believe killing is fun. No. I do believe that the most precious thing in the universe is LIFE even it`s an ant`s life. But I like play. I don`t play wargames for making war, but I`m interested in the era, the locations, the situations. I think sometimes TV, movies, a boss shows more negative effects than a wargame does

I'm just a litle bit pissed of all that games...just saw a pc-games cover some month ago, two ww2 games on the cover. Bah okay enough of that.
I mostly play racing games (street racing and off-road) so ppl coule say, hey U coule kill somebody on the street blahblah ;)
I better study my cars :wavey:
.a new one is comming soon :p
okay...cya arround
Hi Jester,
First of all a couple of words to Daniel:
Hey Man, your opinion doesn't really matter in this topic. The question is the quality of the artwork, not your taste. I could find thousands of PC game magazine covers what has cars on it! Altough I dont like cars I can decide if a car render is good or not, and I wont blame it just because its a car not a cool monster or character.
Secondly back to the topic.: Good work Jester! Gratulations!
but a full render would be good (with legs and stuff) As I heard (from LY) it was made for a life size 7000pixel high print? cool!

Very nice Panzertruppen officer, very hard to crit, only perhaps a few panzer junkie nitpicks:
Too clean and tidy if he is supposed to be a front line tanker:
-Boots too "stiff" and shiny, all photos show bent boots with more "wrinkles", also, the panzer trousers should be even a bit more "baggy" over the boots.
-The "schirmmutze" cap wouldn't last much in that state for a tanker, it was awfully uncomfortable with the headphones, so they softened them removing the inner "armature", or used the smaller, softer "old style" cap or other types of more suited headgear: Schutzmutze or Feldmutze.
Other than that, I'm in doubt about the belt, the brown officers' belt many tanker officers liked didn't have the "Gott mit uns" buckle, it had a two-pin normal open buckle, but i'm not sure right now if brown belts with the regular Wehrmacht buckle were issued.

Hey! Really nice modeling imho (although I'm not a 3d expert). Ain't got nothing to criticize! Posing and proportions seem ok to me. And I also appreciate the fact that you paid attention to details and a certain kind of realism.
I would like to see more wireframes and other views of your model, that would be great!
Keep up the good work!

There may be mistakes for sure. I was given a reference by the client, what they would like to see. Although I made my own research as well.
Next time I hope I will have more time to research!

You have achieved a very pleasing look to the character. I think his stance is very dignified and he looks confident that he will achieve victory. Yes, you could dirty him up a little bit, but I think it adds a little to the piece having him be clean. He's proud, why wouldn't he be dressed in his cleanest nicest uniform? Nice work.
