I am a new bee in PFSource. It is really difficult to create or learn such a huge particle fx by oneself. I want to ask you what is the easiest way to learn PF Source properly. I have few tutorials which helped me lots. But still I unable to mug up fully with this particular feature of Max. Suppose if I want to create fireworks or particle face animation like in Mummy or water dropes will sprade out while a girl moving her hair or anything is builting with particles then what is the way. Is is really essential to learn Max Script for PF Source????

Allan McKay (http://www.allanmckay.com) has very cool video-tutorials on his site which are responsible for getting me hooked up with Particles. :buttrock:

I strongly recommend those vtm's to get you started :)

Also, CG Academy's DVD set - it's very comprehensive: http://www.cg-academy.net/pages/topic_particles/dvds_pflowfundamentals_set/dvds_pflow_fundamentals_set.php

No, you do not need to know max scripting if you want to play around with PFlow. Real complicated systems might be better with it, but if you're a new to PFlow you don't need to worry about that -- at all...

Like Wicked said, Allan is probably one of your best bets if you want to come up to speed fast. But there are lots of others floating around on CGsociety.

Take a look around in this topic (its HUGE!): Particle Flow Discussion (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=114324&goto=lastpost)
If you have any questions, please ask. We'll be there to help!
