Hey everyone, here are a few props that will fill my next next scene. Im working with a few people on some layouts. Im trying to push the poly count to next gen, definatly different from my last scene.I will post an environment asap. Thanks for taking a look, and critiques. Thanks.


Here is a T-90-s Tank, 25k polys(will lower to around 20K) and 2 textures at 1024x1024. Textures are WIP and critiques comments are extremely welcome.

A Havoc Anti Tank Helicopter. 2 textures at 1024x1024. Poly count is 19500.

Some Props...None of the props textures are higher than 512x512.

The tanks are looking absolutely amazing in texture detail and in geometry. The only thing I'd add is some real burn marks to show they're not fresh out of the factory and have seen some battle. The speckly effect you have going across the tank textures are looking abit too consistent. They look like weathering effects or something. And I'm not sure they'd be that consistent in reality.

By comparison, the chopper textures are looking flatter. There are some nice highlights and shadows where they need to be, but beyond that there's not much. Maybe some uneven metal grooves in the body, nuts and bolts, abit more wear and tear in logical places. The guard towers, the repeating texture is quite obvious. Maybe alpha on some added grime just to randomize it up a little.

Those are the only areas with noticeable issues that I can see. On the whole though, at first glance, everything gives a good overall impression.

Hey guys. Thanks for the compliments.

And pangerang, I can totaly see what you mean by that weathering effect being too consistent. Ill fix that asap. The chopper is more in the first stages of texturing, lots of panels and latches to add.

I will be working with someone to clean up my geo just a bit more. So I will have wire frames up in the next few days.

As has been said the guard tower is way too obviously repeating and overly contrasty.

The tank and chopper look snazzy, but giving them spec maps would make them look better.

Perhaps less black spots on the tank texture will be helpful. Military paint is smoother.

Hey everyone, here is an updated version of my demo reel. I will be graduating within the next 2 weeks. Although this is my final draft for school, Ill still be working on it after. So dont hold back on any feedback, thanks.

My idea in the begining was to have a pedestal for the tank and chopper. But after a week or so I created a bit more of an environment.

Looks nice though some modelling errors ont he Mi-28, the undercarriage doesn't splay out and is too far forward, and some other general things

Also t-90, wheel spacing is a little off for me and the turret shape is wrong, unless you have found a random varient based onthe t-90-s, seems to flat on top and is more rounded at back with random boxes slapped on it normally.

Having also made a bunch of russian tanks here at work it is very hard to see the shape under all the reactive armour the russians slap on thier tanks.

Apart from that looking good :)

I'm really digging the tank and helicopter both look top notch. I did notice a few things in the environment you might want to think about. The first is where the helicopter is you might wanna think about a landing pad logo and maybe even move alittle farther away from the building. The other thing I noticed was where the road and the grass meets you might wanna somehow blend those two together. And lastly the shipping container should either rest on cement or you'll need big tire tracks in the grass from when the jack moved them. So thats just a few things you might want to ponder over.
