Hey guys,

I was asked to look into match moving software. After reasearching I recommended Boujou. So my project manager got it, I've installed it did a test with a Canon HV20 followed Boujou's tutorial:

-imported TGA sequence
-Ran Feature tracking
-ran Solve Camera
-Selected 4 dots on the ground and applied a test object (ladybug) with a predict/plane option selected.

Results? the lady bug was filpped upside down and there are 3 frames where the lady bug jittered up and down as if the tracking got messed up. But outside of that the tracking was awesome.

BUT I'm stuck, I have no idea where to go from here. I got 2 weeks to figure out how to fix these problems. The joys of working in a small shop.

Any suggestions? I've searched the forums but can't find anything.

Have a look in the 3D view. Do all the points seem to be at the correct depth in relation to your plate? Does the camera move in the right direction? Everything can seem perfectly fine in the 2D view and still your solve could be horribly wrong. I think there's a troubleshooting section in the help files that covers the problem of the points being spatially inverted and the camera travelling the wrong direction as a result...

I still don't know what went wrong but I've done some tests since and it's worked, never got that issue again.

for some reason even if I level my points to the grid in Boujou (say a table top) when I import to Maya the grid in Maya is off. I thought that the grid in Boujou exports it to maya.

Another thing I'd like is I want to to is place locators on certain objects in Boujou so that when I import in to maya I know what that point is. I seached the help files but can't find anything.

Is that possible?
