Hey all,

How can i get the Ball to look like its standing Behind the Girl?

I used a Plane with a Matte/Shadow and aligned it with the street on the image.

Now i need the girl to look like shes blocking the ball.

Welcome to the world of visual effects. You either need to roto a matte of the girl and use that in the composite or you need to make a holdout object in the scene with the matte when you render.

Roto or Rotoscope means to draw over a moving image. So basically you would use your paint program to "mask" out the girl with a solid color on a solid background. This is called a matte. Then you can use this matte to composite the ball behind the girl.

I am interested in learning how to do this as well.
What are the best apps to use for this (preferably inexpensive ones)? Are there any plugins for Max (I believe I saw something about Electric Image having this built in for the current version)?
