View Full Version : Attribute Editor question
jas_ho 04-29-2003, 02:48 PM Hello guys,
I have a very basic question. When I am editing my shaders in my attribute editor, how do I change the display of the shader from a cylinder to a sphere. Please refer to the attached picture. Thank you. :)

ok I had to search hard for that one !!
The only way I found ...is :
open your Multilister ( Window / Rendering Editor / Multilister )
in your Multilister , Right clic on the material and select : Display / Swatch Primitive / and choose from Sphere, Cube, Cone, or Tube
cheers!

Sorry, another question.
Now, whenever I create a new shader, the new material will become a cylinder by default. Is there anyway I can change the default setting to a sphere?
Thanks for all the help.

not sure about that...but .. my guess will be that if the default Lambert1 is a tube ..all the rest will be tube ...
when you open a new scene there is alway 3 shader .. Lambert1 , particule cloud1 , and ShaderGlow1
if in the multillistner ..the shader lambert1 (by default) is set at tube ..all the other one you will create will be tube also..
is this clear enough ??
:hmm:
