bit of a bizarre question but im trying to export some animation data from maya to blender. not fancy rigs just basic translation/scale/rotation of a space ship flying, and the camera.

is this possible? any tips appreciated as to what file format to use and the process. i wont be handling the blender side im just using maya and exporting the files for final use in blender scenes.

exporting the meshes isnt a problem but it would be great if we dont have to re make the animation. any help much appreciated.

fbx is probably best, or probably Collada or mdd, would work also,

oops, misread the direction you are going...

Hmm I think Collada or mdd would still work for importing into blender but not positive, don't recall if mdd supports camera movement though...
