Title: Game Cinematic mockup still
Name: Daniel Bullock
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop, XSI
With this piece I wanted to do a little more with a couple of characters I'd created for personal video-game quality work.
All assets you see are in line with polycounts seen in next-gen console and pc games. Even though its rendered in XSI, no fancy shaders or lighting effects were used but there was a bit of compositing in photoshop to dress it up. I tried to keep everything in line with what is possible with nextgen game engines.
Each character was modeled in XSI, sculpted in mudbox and textured with photoshop.
The dwarf character took about 12 days to model texture, the cave sloth took a lot less at about 4 days to model / texture and the background and compositing I spent about 4 additional days on.
Critiques are absolutely welcome.
