Ahoj Nosalis, moc se mi to libi!
Nice work on the texturing, I'd like to see a high-res version in an environment though. That way you'd have some nice reflection effects, which would bring out the great modeling job you've done. Hope to see some more from you soon!

So model one for me, and I will render it :) Maybe later, this time I`m in time pressure.

I love the model, and the texturing, not too much to crit. I suppose the reason why we see more cars then yellow school buses is the lack of reference material for buses and that a nice flashy sports car is just more fun to make.

nice, but it's hard to see the model with all the pic/logos/etc. on the texture, post one without the texture, a solid one color texture, and they're right, it needs to SHINE
what color ARE the school buses in Europe??
Nosalis

I done it myself from various photos on internet and from photos of a real model from AutoArt in 1:18 scale ( www.autoartmodels.com )
But a lot of work was done in Photoshop by hand.

very nice detailed model, i admire someone who models the inside aswell, not like most of the people who just do the shell.
Whats the polycount? i dont think its for a game is it?

i have a question. how do you get it 99.9% identicle to the car itself? do you have a pic or something? can you please tell me, because it really interests me!
btw - amazing details and modeling!
Nosalis
08-22-2003, 06:47 AM
polycount is 21244 and yeah, It`s not very suitable for game engine. But I guess that it can be easily reduced to 10k
and I don`t know, how to create it realistic. I just tryed to have many detailes with good texture. It`s all about, how much time do you give to modeling and texturing.
thanx for the comments

Nosalis
08-22-2003, 12:27 PM

i meant that part of the car. did you do that model from scratch? i mean from the little cube it gives you when you start a new project? or did you get a tutorial from somebody or something like that?
Nosalis

If you mean the interrior parts, they were done mainly from primitives, and it was based on various photos and real 1:18 scale model from AutoART.
It took plenty of time, but it stays for result, IMHO :)
and I`m using my own method based on this tutorial.

Very nice car!!
As far as the easiest way to animate a car, I used ReelMotion a long way back, and there was a lot of set-up at the time. Once your car was set-up though (and this would be quick in your case, as ReelMotion has a car with a similar structure as a default) you could kick out TONS of animation in a very little amount of time.
This subject matter would benifit well from ReelMotion I think. I can see this car skidding around muddy turns!!
