Title: Dungeon
Name: Alejandro Ruano
Country: España
Software: 3ds max, Digital Fusion, Photoshop, VRay
Hi all:
Here you have my last personal project: Dungeon. Well, I think every image has its own story behind. So this is the story for my dungeon:
Well, I work at home. And my family & friends call my office "The Cave" or "The Dungeon". And the idea came from that. So I tried to mix both concepts. No matter how cool our office is, or how much do we love our work. All of us feel chained to it, sometimes. All of us have our own prisoner ball (mine are some ugly buildings & 3d sections I have to do at work).
Links to Hi-Res & SuperHi-Res, so you can better appreciate the details & mistakes :P
- Hi-Res (1280 x 862) (http://www.3dx-design.com/cosas/blog/DungeonFINAL.jpg)
- SuperHi-Res (3060 x 2060) (http://www.3dx-design.com/cosas/blog/DungeonFINALBIG.jpg)
Thx to Javier Núñez "Ja3D", Alejandro Suárez "Jan", David Bastidas "Kh0rne" and Juan Siquier for their advices throughout the process.
It was made using: 3dsmax 2008, VRay, LWF, PS & Fusion.
I hope you like it. C&C are welcome :)

Ha ha! You got that right! That would be the story (sometimes) of my own day job I'm afraid! Add a figure with a beeper chained to him and you got the whole story! ;)
Great concept! Very good job with the details.
The floor looks a bit rough, bumpy - rolling around in the chair would be noisy. :)

I LOVE your render. It's almost perfect-hundreads of details-i like it. Especially the super-high res is showing all the objects in room. And i like the statue on the right on the bookshelf. 5 STARS!

How true. Some of the textures look a little off but are only really apparent in the super hi-rez render (the bricks look a little flat and the floor looks odd somehow) but a great piece of work none the less.

the product box in the foreground (left side) is amazing...i love how it has that faded from use look.
thanks.
edit: i've had some time to look at the hi-res version and really love the details. i see autocad running on the box to the left, some type of forum (almost looks like WoW) on the laptop, but what is the program running on the boxes to the right right?

Sorry for the absence. I've been several days away.
@knoppas: well, I published it in my portfolio a couple of weeks ago, but I guess I did something wrong, and it hasn't been posted on the forum until the other day.
@neozenit: muchas gracias, tío. Viniendo de tí, es un gran halago. (Thanks, m8. It means a lot, coming from you).
@the rest: Thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot to me that you like it. Next weeks I'll be doing a making of, just in case you wanna read it. I'll keep you informed :)
Here you have some captures. Hope they help someone:

Hi friend, the best part of the image it,s the detail in all of the objets and the feel that transmit it.
Very good work, I know you and I see you in an important 3d company shortly.
Congratulations Alex with this first serious work a lot of people know you when hear your name ;)
Your friend, ja3d.
hehe, now i found you and this "lovely" render on cgsociety...gonna add you to my favorites at once :)
Can't believe you got just this few comments here...usually you get more feedback here than on evermotion :) That's at least what i found out in just these few weeks.
Once again, a GREAT render from my point of view and i hope to see more works like that from you in the future.
