i would like to merge two cloud grids so they look like they were originally together...a really nice blend.

If you intersect the containers it should render more or less ok. You can use edgeBlend on both containers to soften the container edge, which would help where they overlap.
If you need to get one fluid to cast shadows onto the other, then you need to use raytrace shadowing.
If you wish to merge the two fluids into a common fluid grid for some reason, then you could read the density from one grid and add it in to the other using set and getFluidAttr calls inside a mel script. This will not work if the fluid is primarily textured, as opposed to relying on density grids.
