hey this is a wip dr evil head that i'm working on for a uni project.
It's created in 3ds max 5 edit polys.

Still working on bump and spec maps (hence no spec and poor bump)

At this moment in time i havent really got time to tweak the model a whole lot as hand in time is soon. After i might try to tweak it alot more to get it looking good for a portfolio piece.

Just wondering what yall thought of it. Any tips on making good skin textures/shaders in Max would be appreciated.

Heh, looks great! I think the nose is a bit too big though.

Yeah you might be right although the cameras focal length does seem to make it slightly bigger than it really is. In the film Mike myers wears a latex nose to make it bigger i think.

hey Straightmarki think you might be right but from all the source photo's he does have a really curly bottom lip.

I'm gonna try later when i've got time to maybe straighten it a little.

p.s. has anbody else had trouble with using bump maps when you are using Global Illumination esp. the photometric skylight!!!
I get a grey strange look the bumpy parts.

I think the lip is good enough... but the nose is way to big:eek:

But overall I think the model is great :applause:

EvilBaster: Heres an older shot (eyes are diff + global illumination.) just to show that the nose isn't as big as it seem in the above image.

As you can see the camera is at a more normal focal length and the nose is smaller. It has been modelled in realtion to a side on image of Dr Evil so i think it's reasonably correct. I hope....

HEHE doh you are right i just checked some other pics and he does have blue eyes.
