View Full Version : Video tutorials
halfworld 01-31-2008, 10:22 PM Hi everyone,
I've made an index page for all my free video tutorials as they were beginning to get lost in a maze of forum threads; the list also includes a couple of new ones (today's is about setting up Renderama, probably not of much interest to you lot, but good for beginners :)

Hello Ian,
thanks so much for your video tutorials...they are really helpful for me.
By the way, the "rodeo2.mov" link (car moves over terrain Part 1) doesn`t seem to work.
May be that`s the reason why MY car still refuse to move properly...;-)))
Cheers
Tom

Edit: Links fixed.
Hi all,
So here we are, the last of the V7 mega-features to get a tutorial; we have 25 minutes on how to use Rodeo here, to be honest I was expecting the videos to be longer then that but Rodeo just works, it simply just works.
Without further adooooo:
Basic Rodeo (5 mins)
http://homepage.mac.com/cake_or_death/rodeo/rodeo1.mov
Rodeo in production - Car moving over a terrain: Part 1 (10 mins) - Setting up the project and groups
http://homepage.mac.com/cake_or_death/rodeo/rodeo2.mov
Rodeo in production - Car moving over a terrain: Part 2 (10 mins) - Simulating
There is a point in this video when I get confused as my car weighs in at 4 tonnes, this is because my car body was a solid lump of metal. Stupid me. When you do it, manually enter the mass to be about a tonne (700kg for a smart car).

Enjoy, forgive the bits at which I mess up
