Ok, I got LDraw and MLCad. Now after I make a model, how do I get it into Cinema?

I tried using LDraw2LWO (which also adds the Lego word to the top of the piece's studs which is nice) and then open the LightWave file in C4D, however, it opens fine, but I lose all of the colors & textures (like faces and shirt design).

Any help is appreciated :)

How does this LD program do its textures. If it does not UV map them you might be in a bit of trouble.

I will bet that they are some sort of procedural thingy.

and procedurals almost never work in diffrent programs. seeingas they are built for a specific purpose in a specific program.

What happens is I don't actually loose the shaders, they are there just they are all the same, almost completely transparent and white.

I'll experiment some more, see if I can get anywhere.

go to file pull down, export, wavefront. the material doesn't export, but why bother......

Materials = faces & shirt designs

That's why they are important

I suppose if they have some color if you have somthing like photoshop or Bodypaint you could redo the colors.

Ok, now I feel really stupid.

When you open the LWS scene in Cinema, all the materials actually do have the color and designs.

To make it look normal, you have to turn the Color's Brightness all the way to 100% (from 0%) and turn the Transparency and Refelction down to 0% (from 100%).

Now move the light and you're done.

Sorry for wasting your time....I feel really stupid....:insane:
