The image really inspires awe and curiousity to the nature of those bohemoth ruins. The vertical composition and fine detail are what do it for me. It's a huge and imposing structure, but what really piques my interest is that gapping pit and what it might lead to...I suspect trouble.

this piece is really awesome, i think the only reason this doesnt make it to the choice gallery is because somehow the background is very simple compared to the details of the big colums, or the yellow haze is bringing the whole thing down. So when i look on this picture from the bottom to the colums its really massive and awesome, but when the bg comes mountains and hills its not so good

Is the guy climbing up or down? Down doesn't make sense because it doesn't give the impression that that's where everyone just came from. Up doesn't make sense either because why would you make all the effort to climb up to a ledge that has little or no interest. Seems like they should be climbing down into the hole, but I guess it wouldn't look as cool.

small question, the sunlight throws a shadow on the small pilars that is slightly tilted to the right, meaning the sun isnt in the middle of the picture. i would have expected the reflection of the sun on the left large pilar to be slightly darker than the right ?
