Title: Boxer
Name: Michael Kutsche
Country: Germany
Software: Painter
This guy is a genetically manipulated prize fighter. It started as a research for an uncommon characterdesign. For my personal stuff i prefer this style where the brushstrokes are still visible, rather than getting too realistic. Completely done in painter.

i saw this one before. i really like it. if i had to go with anything i would prolly make the bloody splatter follow the contour of the arm but that's about it. love the image mate.

Lovely work, Michael, always nice to see a new piece from you. This guy is great - he reminds my of one of the greatest Italian air pilots of all time, Porco Rosso. Any relation? :) There are some great touches - the rim-lit hairs on the back and head, the subtle shirt texture, and the brush strokes around the face are terrific, glad you kept them in.

What a wonderful expression on his face! I just had to skip over to your portfolio after seeing this and now I'm really depressed. Your mastery of technique and style, and your ability to match your approach to the intent of the image are just amazing. Must stop gushing now...

why doesnt he have any hands? doe she have hooves? I like the concept, i guess a man-pig would be a good boxer... xcept for his short arms n legs maybe. anyway, why no hands? easier or...

thx a lot for the nice replies!
@KeesCopyright: He has a complex with his hooves, (like the horsecharacter from Ren&Stimpy) that's why he hides 'em :). I think the folded arms-posing is a good expression of his character.

I love the way you use light to iluminate the colors, although the hands are too hidden and makes them look like it was done on porpouse. Sorry about my english .
GREAT! Perfect light and shadows! You're a master!

Very nice drawing, it is my Windows desktop wallpaper right now!
I showed this to a friend of mine who's been working in an abattoir for 10 years; I said that this mutant pig was a nightmare he should pray not to meet in the afterlife... but he didn't think I was funny!
There is zero smoke from his cigarette! He must be in a long inhaling phase during the photo.... ;)
Cheers
