The latest version of Houdini is now GOLD and available as the production build on our website. Here is an article announcing the release and the addition of the FBX importer:

Houdini Apprentice users can Download the new version right away and Houdini Apprentice HD customers will find an updated license ready in the Houdini license server. Houdini Apprentice HD customers have all received free upgrades due to the recent release of the HD program.

If you are finding the download a little slow, you can try one of our torrent downloads instead:

Things should speed up once the initial rush of people have finished their downloads.
